Lunva Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what data Lunva processes, why it is needed, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how to delete it.
1. What data we process
- Sign in with Apple: the Apple ID identifier Apple provides for sign-in, plus your name and email address if Apple shares them. You can hide your email, as Apple offers.
- Profile: your nickname, avatar (if you set one), six-digit profile number and the live header you chose.
- Game data: drawings, step-by-step recordings of how you drew, matches, results, wins, rating, rank, points, tasks and day streak.
- Feed and social: posts, photos, captions, comments, likes, messages, friends and requests, reports, the list of people you blocked and what you hid from your feed (artworks and authors).
- Purchases: which headers you own, your Lunva Pro status and Apple transaction numbers — to confirm purchases and never count one payment twice.
- Technical data: sign-in and last activity times, your time zone (for day streaks and reminders), app language and a push notification token if you allowed notifications.
- Server logs: request path, response code and processing time; some entries include your account number. Your IP address is used briefly to protect against too many requests and is not stored in the database.
- The "Videos on Lunva's social media" setting: whether it is on and when it was changed.
Lunva does not collect location or contacts, does not use advertising identifiers, does not include advertising or analytics services and does not track you across other apps. The app asks for photo access only when you choose an avatar or your own photo to draw from, or save an artwork or video to Photos.
2. Why we use data
- to sign you in and keep your account;
- to run matches: find an opponent, show them your drawing and decide the result;
- to show your profile, posts and achievements;
- to run the rating, award points and give prizes;
- to process purchases and unlock what you bought;
- to send notifications if you allowed them;
- to handle reports, prevent cheating and keep the service safe;
- to fix bugs and keep the app running.
3. Drawings, recordings and videos
- Recordings of match drawings. Lunva may replay your finished match artwork to other players as a recorded opponent: they see how the artwork was drawn, along with your nickname and avatar marked "recording". The Lunva opponent may also draw from such recordings, under its own name. This does not change the author's points. If an artwork is reported, it is no longer used as a recording.
- Your victory video. The winner of a match can save a short timelapse video of the match and share it. The video shows both drawings and the winner's nickname and avatar. The opponent is labelled "Opponent" and shown without an avatar — their nickname appears only if they turned on "Videos on Lunva's social media" themselves.
- Videos on Lunva's social media. Lunva uses match timelapses in its advertising and informational posts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) only if both players in the match turned on "Videos on Lunva's social media" in settings. This setting is off by default. Such videos show no nicknames or avatars — the players are labelled "Player 1" and "Player 2". Consent does not transfer ownership of your drawing to Lunva. You can withdraw consent at any time with the same setting: no new videos with your drawings will be made, and we will remove published ones if you write to lunva.support@icloud.com.
4. Who data is shared with
Only as much as a feature needs:
- Other players: your nickname, avatar, live header, drawings in matches and recordings, anything you post to the feed, and whether you are online and when you were last seen — except people you have a block with. If you turned on "Videos on Lunva's social media", your nickname may appear in your opponent's victory video.
- Anthropic (AI judge): to judge a match, three images are sent to Anthropic — the reference picture and the two players' drawings — together with the picture's title. Nicknames, account numbers, email addresses and match numbers are not sent. If you draw from your own photo, that photo stays on your phone and is not sent anywhere.
- Railway (hosting): Lunva's server and database — including drawings, photos and avatars — run on Railway's servers, and server logs are kept there.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, subscriptions and purchases. The app also checks the App Store for a new version, which sends the country set on your phone.
- RevenueCat (purchases): your Lunva account number (for Sign in with Apple it contains your Apple ID identifier), purchase data from Apple and technical device details collected by the RevenueCat library (model, OS version, language, app version, IP address). Your name, email and drawings are not shared.
- Expo: your device token and the notification text — to deliver push notifications; on launch the app also checks Expo for updates.
Lunva does not sell personal data and does not share it with advertising networks.
5. Instagram and pre-registration
This data concerns people who write to Lunva on Instagram or leave their email on the website, not app accounts.
- Instagram: if you comment "Lunva" under a Lunva post, we store your Instagram user number and username and the comment text, and reply through Instagram — with a comment and a direct message.
- Pre-registration on the website: your email address, language and where you came from — to write to you once, when Lunva launches.
To delete this data, write to lunva.support@icloud.com.
6. Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account exists and while it is needed for the purposes in section 2.
What happens when you delete your account (Settings → "Delete account"):
- your profile, avatar, nickname, email, drawings and their recordings, feed posts and photos, messages, likes, friends and requests, headers, rewards, tasks, day streak, notification tokens and settings are deleted;
- the text of your comments is erased;
- in other players' match history, their artworks, the feed and message quotes, your nickname is replaced with a dash — your opponents keep their results;
- your place in the month's Winners stays empty, and other players' places do not change;
- every sign-in issued earlier stops working.
What is kept:
- records of Apple purchases (transaction number and item) — for payment accounting;
- active bans for violations — so they cannot be avoided by signing in again;
- reports about matches and messages sent by you or about you — for moderation;
- the Lunva opponent's drawing in an already played match, if it drew from your recording — in your opponent's history, without your nickname;
- server logs — for as long as Railway keeps them;
- purchase data at RevenueCat — we will delete it if you write to lunva.support@icloud.com.
If you sign in again with the same Apple ID after deletion, a new empty account is created: earlier points, artworks, rewards and purchased headers do not come back.
Deleting your Lunva account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple subscription settings.
7. How to manage your data
- Delete your account: Settings → "Delete account".
- Delete a post or comment of yours — in the feed.
- Allow or refuse videos on Lunva's social media: Settings → "Videos on Lunva's social media".
- Turn off notifications — in the app or phone settings.
- Questions about data processing and deletion requests: lunva.support@icloud.com.
8. Children
Lunva is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using Lunva, write to lunva.support@icloud.com and we will delete the account.
9. Security
Data is sent over a secure connection, and only the server and the developer have access to the database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, the services or the law change. A new version is published with a new date. We will tell you about significant changes in the app and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
